Have Questions?

We Have all the answers

Can I bring a date?

Due to our venue regulations we are on a really tight guest count. Only named guests on the invites please.

Are children allowed at the ceremony?

MCCLAREN TO ADVISE

Are the celebrations outside?

Yes the celebrations will take place outside.

For the wedding day, we'd recommend bringing a light shawl for ladies and a jacket for gentlemen as temperatures may be cooler at night when the sun has gone down.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that there are no phones & cameras during our wedding ceremony.

Don't worry, we have hired a photographer and will have a lot of photos to share with you after the wedding.

WHAT IF I HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY OR INTOLERANCE?

Everyone will be catered for. If you have particular dietary requirements, please outline this on your RSVP once formal invitations are sent.

Any Advice for Attire?

Welcome Party: ???
Wedding Day: Black Tie
Boat Day: Poolside Chic

Just a note on shoes: We recommend that you bring heel stoppers if you’re hoping to wear stilettos as the events will mainly be on grass, and the pathways tend to be cobbled so a thicker heel or wedge would be more comfortable. You may also decide to bring a change of shoes for walking up to Villa Cimbrone.

Will transport be provided to and from the venue?

Transportation will not be provided, as the venue is in Ravello and within walking distance of our suggested hotels (Ravello is a mainly pedestrian town).

See below for more information

We are so excited you have decided to join us! Although the wedding is still a little way off, we know you will have plenty of questions about how to get there, where to stay and what else can you do whilst visiting the Amalfi Coast.

To help with all of this, please contact Sarah, our Guest Relations Manager, at concierge@theweddingboutiqueitaly.com.

We have organised room blocks at 3 different hotels within walking distance to the wedding venue.

- Villa Maria
- Hotel Giordano
- Hotel Rufolo

For more information or to book a room at one of the above hotels please contact Sarah who will be happy to assist with any questions or arrangements.

If you need help booking an airport transfer, please contact Sarah, our concierge manager who will require the following information when inquiring:

Primary Contact, Number of people, Mobile Number, Date, Pick up/drop off point, Flight arrival/departure time, Flight number, Number of suitcases/bags.

Cash payable directly to the driver is preferable; otherwise, a 22% VAT charge will be added to the cost if paid by card. All bookings need to be guaranteed by card in case of cancellation within 48 hours or no show, which will be charged in full.

Due to the winding roads in this area, all guests using transfer services are advised to bring medication if they suffer from travel sickness.

*Please note that these services will need to be booked at least one month in advance.

Naples to Ravello

The easiest way to get to Ravello is by flying into Naples International Airport (NAP), then booking a car transfer from Naples to Ravello. It is approximately a 1-hour drive.

We do not recommend renting a car, unless you are experienced in driving on the Amalfi Coast, as the cliff-side roads are very narrow and winding. Please also keep in mind that parking is very limited in Ravello (and everywhere on the coast).

Rome to Ravello

If you’re traveling from Rome, we recommend arranging a private transfer that will pick you up from the airport and take you directly to Ravello. It is approximately a 3-hour drive.

There are no direct trains to Ravello. The train will take you from Rome to Naples (approximately 1.5 hours). You will then need to take a private car from the Naples train station (Napoli Centrale) to Ravello. It is approximately a 1-hour drive.

Travel Tips

ATM WITHDRAWALS
Most ATMs only allow you to withdraw €250.00 per card per day regardless of your card type, so it is best to bring some cash with you as it is sometimes easier to pay this way in Southern Italy.

GRATUITIES
Tipping is not expected in Italy although of course always appreciated.

TEMPERATURES
The temperatures in September should be more than warm in the daytime (80-85 degrees), but do consider bringing a jacket or shawl in case some evenings are a little cooler.

OUTLETS
Please check the voltage on your appliances - steamers, hair tools, phone chargers, etc. You will need a plug adapter that is compatible for the outlets in Italy, and for appliances that can't support 230v you will also need a converter.

TRANSPORTATION
If you are looking for local contacts outside of airport transfer services, for shorter trips, please contact one of the following taxi recommendations in the links below.

Otherwise you can find the taxi rank in Ravello outside ‘Hotel Garden’ near the tunnel in Ravello.

Please note Ravello is a small town and not a big city, so Uber does not exist and taxis aren’t available 24 hours a day at the rank.

Things To Do

VISIT THE ISLAND OF CAPRI
Capri is a truly magical place and one of the most popular destinations on the Amalfi Coast.
This island sits just off of the western edge of the Amalfi Coast and can be reached via regular ferries from Amalfi.
Also consider taking an organised trip to see the famous Blue Cave Grotto – this cave complex is absolutely stunning and a boat trip through this subterranean world will surely impress.

SHOPPING IN POSITANO
Positano, the pearl of Amalfi Coast, is among the most beautiful and romantic places in the world. Also known as the city of "Moda Positano" is a must to do some shopping in the many shops ranging from local handicrafts to luxury boutiques, overlooking the waterfront.

COCKTAILS AT PALAZZO AVINO
Palazzo Avino is a stunning five-star hotel located in Ravello. Dining at Palazzo Avino is truly a unique experience. You can enjoy a candlelit dinner served in their acclaimed Rossellini's restaurant or a delicious casual meal at Terrazza Belvedere.

PRIVATE BOAT TOURS
By taking a boat tour, you can see a large section of the coast and you do not have to worry about catching a bus or walking up the winding coastal paths.

Furthermore, from a boat, you can view the many towns such as Amalfi, Minori and Positano in all their glory – there is nothing quite like seeing the multi-coloured houses rising against the side of the cliffs and admiring the luscious green landscapes of this beautiful region.

TAKE A COOKING CLASS
You will learn how to prepare a typical lunch of southern Italy’s tradition in its purest and most genuine aspect.

You will be amazed at how simple is to prepare the traditional Neapolitan Pizza. Recommendations include Penisola Experience in Sorrento and La Tagliata in Positano.
*These get booked up well in advance so we would recommend booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
